Gabriel Schmidt
Hi, I’m Gabriel Schmidt, founder of Riverwise Estate Planning. Born and raised in Brazil, I moved to the UK in 2005, where my family and I are proud to call home.
In 2020, during the pandemic, I felt called to make a change. I wanted to do something more meaningful — something that could truly help people. That’s when I found my path in financial services. Since becoming a qualified mortgage adviser, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of families achieve the dream of homeownership.
Today, I help individuals and families put essential legal protections in place through professionally drafted Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. Over the years, I’ve seen how many people lack even the basic arrangements needed to protect their loved ones.
Outside of work, I enjoy football, travelling, music, and long walks with my family and our dog, Woody — our team’s Chief Happiness Officer.

Woody isn’t just Gabriel’s dog; he’s part of the Riverwise family. With his loyal heart, he reminds us every day what truly matter – home, family, and peace of mind.
While Woody doesn’t attend client meetings (he’s far too busy napping), his spirit perfectly reflects our approach to financial planning: warm, trustworthy, and centred on care.
